All our courses have very simple, easily implemented practical tools for both the individual and team to start using immediately after the course. Our BAAM STRESS TEST – is easy to do, online, confidential. If it’s used pre-course, it can be used to identify the stress hot-spots in your organisation. It can be repeated at intervals post-course to evaluate the benefits of your investment. *Emotional Resilience Toolkit, Business Action on Health, www.bitc.org.uk sponsored by Department of Health 2008.
There is well-documented loss of productivity when employees come to work but function at less than full capacity, or are absent due to non-specific illness. Employees with a mental health problem are absent from work 7.5 times longer than those with a physical illness. 86% of employees believe their performance at work is linked to their mood. In July 2008, a third of HR professionals reported an increase in work-related stress compared to previous year. Managing our stress levels will have a direct impact on our mental health. As employers, we have a responsibility to provide interventions to create a healthy psychological work environment.*
Stress Experts have a series of group workshops and individual session courses that can help all levels of staff address their relationship with stress. Stress is something we do to ourselves – it cannot be imposed on us. In other words, stress is what we make it mean to us. Our interpretations of events are individual and all about perception.
So we ask you to start with the BAAM STRESS TEST – this is an online, confidential 10 minute evaluation of your current stresses. This can be used across an organisation to ascertain the stress hot-spots and focus interventions smartly. Stress is often a result of avoiding or not handling conflict appropriately. Our courses will show simple techniques for expressing differences of opinion, and resolving conflict that improve relations. Each course is designed to suit your organisation or company. We can work with groups or we can work with an individual. Our courses can be short 2-3 hour sessions or one / two day courses. They can be delivered on- or off-site, depending on your available accommodation and the benefits of moving out of the work environment.
